TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; ARTHROPODA; ATELOCERATA; HEXAPODA; INSECTA; PTERYGOTA; Lepidoptera; TINEIDAE
GENERAL NOTE: Larvae eat the dead leaves of Coconut Palms. Its greyer relative Erichthias sphenacma has a larvae that damages Coconut Palms by eating teh unfurled central frond - it is not presently recorded in the Cook Islands.
