More Information

IDENTIFICATION: Medium moth (13mmTL) blackish brown with rufous and black irregular lines on fore wings. Fore wings divided into 3 areas by a pair of rufous and black lines with black cell spot between them; in outer area is a white ’S’ shaped line extending inwards from the wing apex. Hind wings uniformly blackish brown. Extending along margins of fore and hind wings is a series of moon shaped markings - black edged in white. Underside blackish brown, unmarked. Head, Thorax, Abdomen, Legs, Antennae blackish brown.

GENERAL NOTE: Caterpillar feeds on foliage of lantana; nocturnal.
