TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; ARTHROPODA; ATELOCERATA; HEXAPODA; INSECTA; PTERYGOTA; Lepidoptera; NOCTUIDAE
IDENTIFICATION: Medium moth (8-11mmTL) dark brown without significant markings.
Body slender. Fore wings uniformally dark greyish brown. Hind wings paler than fore wings. Underside similar. Head, Thorax, Abdomen, Legs and Antennae coloured as wings. Head with palpi long, pointing straight ahead (beaklike, porrect), eyes prominent.
GENERAL NOTE: Larva on the monocot Commelina.
