KEY FEATURES: Small day-active moth (10mmTL) yellow with dark brown wing borders; wings crossed with wavy lines. Adults diurnal and nocturnal.

TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; ARTHROPODA; ATELOCERATA; HEXAPODA; INSECTA; PTERYGOTA; Lepidoptera; CRAMBIDAE. COMMENT: Formerly PYRALIDAE.

SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
NEGATIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Pest on beans. Comments: Pest on beans (Fabaceae), including Beach Pea (Vigna marina). Caterpillar lives in a shelter made of a rolled leaf.

IDENTIFICATION: Small day-active moth (10mmTL) yellow with dark brown wing borders; wings crossed with wavy lines. Fore and hind wings orange-yellow with dark chocoate markings; fore wings have 2 cell spots and 3 wavy lines crossing wings. Hind wings have 1 thicker line crossing wings through the middle. Underside predominantly brownish grey with diffuse bronze wavy line. Head and Thorax bronze-yellow. Abdomen bronze, sometimes with white intersegmental bands. Legs yellow and Antennae grey.
