More Information

IDENTIFICATION: Small moth (10mmTL) light or dark brown with shoulders and fore wing leading edge white, head with palpi long, beak-like. Fore wings dark greyish brown with white shoulders and leading edge; faint yellowish patch distal to cell spot; row of minute dark spots along base of fringe. Hind wings pearly grey, lighter in proximally; fringe whitish buff. Underside dark greyish brown with lighter fringe. Head, Thorax, Abdomen, Legs and Antennae brown, Head with long beak-like (porrect) palpi.

GENERAL NOTE: Biology: Caterpillar a borer in tropical legumes. Adult nocturnal.
