TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); MAGNOLIOPSIDA (=Dicotyledones); CARYOPHYLLIDAE; Caryophyllales; AIZOACEAE. COMMENT: Also in family MESEMBRYANTHEMACEAE
GENERAL NOTE: A popular plant in Hawaii where the flowers are strung into leis while still in bud. The flowers open on the lei and last several days.
