General Information

COMMON NAMES: Peacock Echeveria

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Mexico

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands, gardens

KEY FEATURES: SUCCULENT HERB to 10cm. LEAVES in open rosettes; grey; succulent; square-oval, broadest at the tip; ending in a sharp point. FLOWERS in spikes to 30cm; tubular, inflated at the base; short petal-lobes.

SIMILAR SPECIES: Most Echeverias are similar in appearance growing in (more or less dense) succulent rosettes with flower spikes emerging from between the leaves.
