COMMON NAMES: Slender Silverside, Barnes' Hardyhead, Barnes' Silverside; French Athérine de Barnes

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - n. Cooks; n. to s.Japan; s. to New Caledonia

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Cooks listed Meyers (1991) PLUS: MH; Marine, near-shore

KEY FEATURES: To 7cm. Narrow-oval, round X-section, massive eye, clear fins. Olive topside, silver sides and belly.

SIMILAR SPECIES: Other silversides very similar.
