General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE trop.Americas; EXOTIC EXOTIC pantropical

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced; S.Group; Land, lowlands - mountains

KEY FEATURES: To 2.5mm BodyL: CEPHALOTHORAX: Female: Yellowish-brown with narrow grey margin; ovate, with broad part posterior. ABDOMEN: Female: High, in profile teardrop-shaped. Yellowish with a white median longitudinal band, formed of paired white spots toward rear; jagged lengthwise brown bands laterally. Color can vary from light to dark depending on food eaten. LEGS: Slender, yellowish, spineless. .WEB: None or a small irregular tangle. EYES: Eight in two rows of four.
