General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Southeast Polynesia (Rarotonga, Societies)

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native, Endemic of se.Polynesia; Land, epiphyte

KEY FEATURES: Pale to dark-green. Prostrate on decaying wood or bark. Setae to 3cm long, smooth, reddish; capsule inclined to pendulous, asymmetrical. Spores green finely bumpy.

SIMILAR SPECIES: See Vesicularia inflectens.
