General Information

COMMON NAMES: Fourline Wrasse; French Labre Nain à Quatre Lignes

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Palau - Pitcairn, Hawai‘i; n. to s.Japan; s. to New Caledonia

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; S.Group PLUS:; Marine, near-shore, outer reef-slope to 45m; Among coral and rubble. Very secretive

KEY FEATURES: To 6cm SL. Elongate with long tapering anterior. Yellowish to brown; upper half with four lines - blue, or blue and orange. Dorsal with two long anterior spines; continuous with 2nd Dorsal.
