General Information

COMMON NAMES: Redbanded Prawn-Goby, Red-necked Goby; French Gobie à Bandes Rouges

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Christmas (Indian O.) - French Polynesia; n. to Marianas; s. to GBR.

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; S.Group. PLUS:; Marine, near-shore, lagoons and outer reef-slope to 20+m; On coarse sand, with a uniformly yellow prawn.

KEY FEATURES: To 7cm SL. Blunt head with large bulbous eyes; body round and tapering. Pale with yellow spots; 6 narrow orange bars. All fins and Tail without bars or spots.
