General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Malaysia - Borneo.

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Ornamental leaves

KEY FEATURES: Large leaved herb, to 1m. Erect. LEAVES to 45cm; banded along lateral veins, or spotted. Cultivars: >>'Silver King' LEAVES to 30cm; heavily streaked silver. >>'Silver Queen' freely branching LEAVESto 30cm; narrow, marbled silvery-white.
