GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE s.Africa - e.Africa

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands, gardens

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Ornamental stems

KEY FEATURES: To 10m as an inverted-pyramid. STEM 5-angled. BRANCHES erect, succulent, leafless, constricted at the joints; 4-5-angles winglike; spines 0 or rudimentary.
