General Information

COMMON NAMES: Wavy Bittercress, Bittercress

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Eurasia; EXOTIC EXOTIC Pacific, incl. Hawai‘i and New Zealand.

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Naturalised; S.Group; Land, lowlands

KEY FEATURES: Erect annual herb to 30cm. LEAVES thin, compound, along the stems. LEAFLETS pairs+one, 3-11, ~increasing towards apex, laterals to 10x15mm, terminal to 15x15mm. FLOWERS 1-several on spike to 20cm; petals while, 3mm. FRUIT ascending, narrow pod to 2cm, valves open and roll up from base. SEEDS red-brown, 8-14, oval, 1mm.
