Cryptocorypha ornata (Attems 1938)
TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; ARTHROPODA; ATELOCERATA; DIPLOPODA; Chilognatha; Polydesmida; PYRGODESMIDAE
GENERAL NOTE: Based on similarities of structure and distribution to the related Aporodesminus wallacei it has been suggested that Cryptocorypha ornata is semiaquatic being able to live under water as adults and subadults, and that their dispersal is as likely due to zoochory as to hydrochory or anthropochorism. [Adis, Golovatch, et.al. 1988]
