General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Cook Islands (Aitutaki, Takūtea)

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native, Endemic of Cooks, 1 island; S.Group (AK and Takutea only); Land, rocky beaches; under rubble and in crevices

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: ; Globally endangered (seriously)

KEY FEATURES: To 5mm BL, 2mm cephalothoraxL; Male and Female similar size. CEPHALOTHORAX light tan, darker on head portion, unmarked. ABDOMEN light brown to almost black, sometimes with light chevrons dorsally. WEB A thin sheet or tangle over a depression or extending from a crevice.

SIMILAR SPECIES: Paratheuma ramseyae separated only by genitalic structure.
