General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Peru - Bolivia

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands, gardens

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Ornamental flower

KEY FEATURES: Erect leaves to 3m. LEAVES xxxxx. FLOWER GROUP bracts 7-25 alternate, one plane, yellow; cheeks yellow; tips of lower bracts pale red to orange. Flower sepal yellow to greenish-yellow; Ovary outer section pale green turning bright green, basal section pale yellow.
