GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Cook Islands (Rarotonga)

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native, Endemic of Cooks, 1 island; S.Group (RR only - rare); Land, mountains, Cloud Forest only

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: ; Globally endangered (seriously)

KEY FEATURES: Small upright shrub to 50cm. STEMS 4-angled, red. LEAVES opposite, adjacent pairs at right angles, densely packed; glossy, oval, to 25x15mm, base and tip tapering; teeth numerous, sharp, forward pointing; stalk 3mm.
