General Information

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native?, Introduced?; Land, lowlands - mountains

KEY FEATURES: xxx BodyL: CEPHALOTHORAX: Pyriform, narrowest anteriorly broadest at mid-length or a little behind; red-brown. ABDOMEN: Dark red-brown. Mostly covered dorsally and ventrally by shiny scuta (hard plates) which leave the posterior end and a wedge-shaped part of the sides exposed. LEGS: Red-brown, spineless. WEB: None. EYES: Six, two in anterior row, four in posterior row.

SIMILAR SPECIES: None really close, but Opopaea sp. somewhat resembles a much more slender and lighter-colored Gamasomorpha.
