General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: Sri Lanka - China - Marquesas

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native?, Introduced?; Land, lowlands; in holes in rotted logs, tree trunk crevices, palm inflorescences

KEY FEATURES: xxx BodyL: CEPHALOTHORAX: Dark red-brown anteriorly, paling to yellow-brown posteriorly. Chelicerae deep brown. ABDOMEN: Yellow-white anteriorly to grey posteriorly, with long grey hairs. LEGS: Yellow-brown basally, to brown distally; hairy. EYES: Eight in two rows of four. WEB: A tangle of flocculent silk in a cavity or crevice.
