General Information

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native?, Introduced?; Land, lowlands - mountains; on vegetation, mostly trees

KEY FEATURES: xxx BodyL: CEPHALOTHORAX: Twice as long as wide, nearly parallel-sided, slightly narrower and rounded anteriorly. With a broad dusky band extending from eyes to rear margin, laterally with silvery spots. ABDOMEN: Elongate and slender, 6 or more times as long as wide. Densely covered with silvery-white spots laterally, 2 narrow stripes of such spots dorsally, ventral side yellow-brown. Often with a row of 5-6 pairs of dark spots dorsally. LEGS: Very long and slender. EYES: Eight in two rows of four. WEB: An orb web.
