SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
NEGATIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Agric. Pest - very serious. Comments: The most damaging pest fruit fly in Australia. Naturalised in New Caledonia (1969), French Polynesia (1970), and Pitcairn. Introduced but eliminated on Easter Island.
