General Information

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced; S.Group; Land, lowlands - mountains; on buildings, sometimes in litter

KEY FEATURES: To 1.5mm BodyL. CEPHALOTHORAX: Round, white with Y-shaped dark mark from front margin through eyes almost to rear margin. Four pairs of dark spots lateral to eyes; margins dark. ABDOMEN: Narrowly ovate, white with greyish-brown network and brown anterior median mark. LEGS: Stocky, whitish with dark spots and rings. EYES: Eight in a compact group a little in front of middle of carapace. WEB: A small oval sheet usually placed in a corner or depression on a building.

SIMILAR SPECIES: Oecobius annulipes is distinguishable by genitalia.
