General Information

COMMON NAMES: Dictynid

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: ??Native; Land, lowlands - mountains

KEY FEATURES: xxx BodyL: CEPHALOTHORAX: Female: Head region long, parallel-sided, yellow-brown, thoracic region grey-brown with radiating brown lines extending toward leg bases. Chelicerae dark brown. ABDOMEN: Female: Elliptical, yellow-brown with two longitudinal bands of white spots dorsally, lateral to which are scattered reddish spots. LEGS: Yellow-brown, hairy, but spineless. WEB: Unrecorded; probably a largely irregular tangle with some parts appearing ladder-like. EYES: Eight in two rows of four.
