General Information

COMMON NAMES: Striped Soldier Shrimp, Edward Shrimp

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: circumtropical, incl. French Polynesia

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore, deepbottom

SIMILAR SPECIES: Plesionika crosnieri separted only by close examination, but edwardsii is more likely in our area. 21 species of Plesionika have been trapped in French Polynesia.
