SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
NEGATIVE SIGNIFICANCE: woollen materials (larvae). Comments: Larvae attack woollen materials.
IDENTIFICATION: Anthrenus spp. 2-4mm TL. ADULT: oval to round, conspicuous dorsal scales. LARVAE small and ovoid. Larvae attack woollen materials; adults feed on flower nectar and pollen.
Vouchers:
Rarotonga: specimens, on woolen cloths, 3/2002, Maja Poeschko, ID to genus only.
