Scientific Taxonomy

Discodoris lilacina (Gould, 1852)
TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; MOLLUSCA; GASTROPODA; OPISTHOBRANCHIA; Nudibranchia; Doridacea; DISCODORIDIDAE

More Information

GENERAL NOTE: I've put D. lilacina in the DISCODORIDIDAE family as according to Gosliner et al (1996). However, Bill Rudmans' SeaSlug frum net site (see address on refs page) puts it in the Suborder DORIDINA, and family DORIDIDAE. I'm confused by this apparent revision. I guess it's ongoing.
