TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); MAGNOLIOPSIDA (=Dicotyledones); DILLENIIDAE; Malvales; MALVACEAE
IDENTIFICATION: Small shrub to 1m. STEMS hairy. LEAVES alternate, with 3-5 long lobes; to 15cm; stalk hairy. FLOWERS solitary; petals 5, turned-back (=reflexed), red with white base, oval, to 5cm; stamens for yellow colum. FRUIT 5-angles, bristly.
