GENERAL NOTE: The 'Queen Sirikit', developed at the Philippines University, was probably a backcross of the hybrid Mussaenda erythrophylla X Mussaenda philippica 'Doña Aurora' with the parent Mussaenda philippica 'Doña Aurora'. It was named for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand during her visit to the Philippines in 1963. [pers.comm. Chris Cramer NMSU 4/2003]
