GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Mexico - Brazil

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands, gardens

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Ornamental flowers

KEY FEATURES: Woody vine. LEAVES opposite, with paired leaflets to 12cm, w/wo centrla tendril. FLOWERS large clusters, funnel-like, 6cmØ; petals 5, purple fading to mauve.

IDENTIFICATION: Woody vine with showly clusters of flowers. LEAVES compound, 2 leaflets w/wo central tendril; LEAFLETS oval to 12cm, garlic smell when crushed. FLOWERS large clusters; each a funnel to 6cm; to 6cmØ; petals 5, round with nipple, purple fading to mauve.
