General Information

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE ? - Cooks - Marquesas

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Naturalised; Land, lowlands

KEY FEATURES: Minute cylindrical beetle, to 1.5mm. Dark brown, pits over thorax and wing-covers, body covered with pale bristles.

SIMILAR SPECIES: Cryphalus sylvicola is separated by experts only; also see under Xyleborus perforans.
