Holmskioldia tettensis (Klotzsch)
SYNONYMS: Cyclonema tettense; Holmskioldia speciosa
TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); MAGNOLIOPSIDA (=Dicotyledones); ASTERIDAE; Lamiales; VERBENACEAE
IDENTIFICATION: Erect shrub or small tree to 5m. BRANCHLETS dull 4-angled to round. LEAVES opposite, simple, wide-oval, to 4x3cm, edge with large round teeth; stalks to 1cm. FLOWERS axillary or terminal clusters; calyx saucer-like, to 2cmØ, pink or purple; corolla tubular, 2cm, with 5 lobes, purple, violet or blue.
