General Information

COMMON NAMES: an ichneumon wasp

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Naturalised; S.Group - Rarotonga; Land

KEY FEATURES: Large slender wasp to 18mmBL. HEAD red with large black eyes, and red antennae 15mm. THORAX robust, red. WINGS both clear, veins dark. ABDOMEN slender anteriorly and thickening posteriorly, mainly red with brown near tip. LEGS red.
