GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - New Caledonia - (here) n.Cooks.

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; S.Group - unrecorded; N.Group - present; Marine, near-shore, Shallow lagoons & reef-flats

KEY FEATURES: Small fish to 8cmSL. Blue anteriorly; body brown with blue on scales forming broken stripes and broken bars; tail and posterior of Dorsal yellow, usually joined with yellow on upper tailbase; black spot on upper operculum opening and at base of Pectoral.
