GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: RANGE circumtropical (incl. Fiji - Cooks)

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Naturalised; Land, parasite on cockroaches

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Biocontrol

KEY FEATURES: Diagnostic characters include: mesoscutum uniformaly covered with setae; fore coxa dark, hind coxa yellow; first segment of hind tarsus long - about 1.5 times longer than second segment.

SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
POSITIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Biocontrol. Comments: A parasitoid on the eggs of cockroaches, including the gernera Periplaneta, Pycnoscelus, Blattella, and .Blatta. Sometimes found as a hyperparasite in Evania appenigaster.
