Dioxyna sororcula (Wiedemann, 1830)
TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; ARTHROPODA; ATELOCERATA; HEXAPODA; INSECTA; PTERYGOTA; Diptera; TEPHRITIDAE
IDENTIFICATION: Minute fly to 2mmBL. HEAD with large eyes, face yellow. THORAX grey, long black bristles, and wings. WINGS clear with extensive brown blotches, with 5 blotches reach forward edge (incl. the one at the tip); fore-edge with short bristles. ABDOMEN female has black abdominal extension for egg laying. LEGS light brown with dark section on thighs.
