TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; ARTHROPODA; ATELOCERATA; HEXAPODA; INSECTA; PTERYGOTA; Diptera; MUSCIDAE
GENERAL NOTE: A notoriously pestiferous fly which is strongly attracted to the skin, especially open wounds, and perspiration of people.
