TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); MAGNOLIOPSIDA (=Dicotyledones); MAGNOLIIDAE; Magnoliales; ANNONACEAE
IDENTIFICATION: Small tree to 8m. LEAVES alternate, ovate to oblong, to 15x5cm, base round. FLOWERS solitary in axils; fragrant; petals outer to 3cm, cream with red or yellow spot within. FRUIT ovoid, to 10x7cm, smooth, ripening yellow; pulp insipid, peach to orange, fragrant.
