General Information

COMMON NAMES: Ice Plant

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands, gardens

KEY FEATURES: Succulent herb, sprawling to 50cmH. LEAVES opposite; 3-angled; 5-8cm; tip with reddish spine, green to grey-green, ~whitish coating (=~glaucous). FLOWERS at branch ends; daisy-like; 5-7cmØ; petals narrow; purple-red, red, apricot.
