General Information

COMMON NAMES: SabellidQQRR

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; S.Group - so far (Rarotonga); Marine, near-shore, in Lyngbya

KEY FEATURES: Tiny worm with feathery tentacles, free-living in Lyngbya. BODY cylindrical, to 10x1.5mm(LxØ), green with obscure segments; parapodia 24, low mounds with black tops, and retractable chaetae nearby. TENTACLES 13 in two groups, feather-like, to 3.5x1.0mm(LxW); page green with white bands; with paired black spots on central shaft; 2 large palps at base of tentacles.
