COMMON NAMES: Green Planthopper

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: RANGE n.Australia, Cook, Marquesas

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Land

KEY FEATURES: Large, to 5mmBL(m), 7mmBL(f) incl.wings. Yellowish-green, eyes brown. Forewing greenish hyaline, vines slender and brown, much longer than abdomen, with 2 long, closed subapical cells. Leg outer parts with dark spots.

Rarotonga: one male specimen, 1937/7, C.E.Clarke in Auckland Museum, in Eyles & Linnavuori (1974) as n.sp.Calotettix lais as separate from Calotettix metrosideri, but in Australia online Fauna these are synonyms of Dryadomorpha metrosideri.
