COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Medicine, Food (Bulb? 1+)

KEY FEATURES: A bulbous herb with 4-10 flattened upright leaves. BULB large, outer layer membranous. LEAVES 4-10, hollow, flattened, to 40x2cm. FLOWER-STALK robust, hollow, to 100cm. FLOWERS clustered from common platform, 4mm long white with green stripe, filaments protruding; stalks 10-15mm.
