GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Mexico

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Not naturalised; Land, lowlands

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Ornamental leaves

KEY FEATURES: FORM: tree, 8m, swollen base. LEAVES terminal tuft, thin, 1mx2cm, smooth edge, green, recurved. FLOWERS: inflor. erect, branching, 1m high; flowers small, white.
