General Information

COMMON NAMES: Bulbophyllum Orchid

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE e.Africa - Societies; n. to Guam; s. to Australia.

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Land, mountains (+++), Epiphyte

KEY FEATURES: A chain of one-leaved pseudobulbs, usually on trees (an epiphyte). Pseudobulbs conical to 4x2cm. Leaf erect, thick, to 15x3cm. Flower-stalk to 30cm, thin. Flowers 6-8, on long stalks, cream-yellow, 3cm long, canoe-shaped.
