GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE Southeast Polynesia (Rarotonga, Raivavae, Tubuai)

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native, Endemic of se.Polynesia; S.Group only (RR only - rare); Land, lowlands - mountains (+)

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: ; Globally endangered (seriously)

KEY FEATURES: A small erect tree to 6m.

SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
BIODIVERSITY: Globally endangered (seriously). Comment: Known from a few specimens in mid-elevations in one area of inland Rarotonga.

GENERAL NOTE: The five other Charpentiera species are endemic to Hawaii [Wagner et.al.].
