SYNONYMS: Clerodendron myricoides [possibly the parent species, with present species being a cultivar]
TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); MAGNOLIOPSIDA (=Dicotyledones); ASTERIDAE; Lamiales; VERBENACEAE
IDENTIFICATION: ERECT SHRUB to 2m. STEMS purplish; angular, 3-4 sided. LEAVES opposite or in 3s; oval, to 20x8cm; dark-green; toothed on the outer half. FLOWERS terminal clusters; corolla 25mm wide, 5-lobed (upper 4 pale blue, flat; lower1 violet-blue, spoon-like); filaments and anthers long, curved.
