TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); MAGNOLIOPSIDA (=Dicotyledones); ASTERIDAE; Scrophulariales; GESNERIACEAE
SIGNIFICANCE NOTES -
BIODIVERSITY: Globally endangered (seriously). Comment: Known from a moderate number of plants in a very narrow band near the summit of the Te Manga - Te Atakura ridge, and a few plants on Maungatea.
GENERAL NOTE: Separated by only one character from the Austral Islands species Cyrtandra elizabethae [Sykes, pers. comm. 5/2001].
