GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION: NATIVE tropical America; EXOTIC incl. Fijhi, Samoa, Tonga, CookIslands

COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Introduced - Recent, Naturalised; S.Group (RR only - rare), N.Group (TN only - rare); Land, lowlands

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: Ornamental Leaf-H

SIMILAR SPECIES: See under Synedrella nodiflora, which has flowers of two distinctly different sizes.
