TAXONOMY: PLANTAE; ANTHOPHYTA (=Angiospermae); MAGNOLIOPSIDA (=Dicotyledones); ROSIDAE; Fabales (Legumes); MIMOSACEAE
GENERAL NOTE: Seed used in necklaces (‘ei). Formerly, bark used for a coarse tapa on ‘Ātiu (Gill, 1885:171) - Whistler (1990) concludes that this was mistaken.
